A Council seeking a connection

( 0 Votes )

I see from the “County News” that Nottinghamshire County Council that they took to the airwaves in an attempt to improve awareness of their services, including information about roads, recycling, family advise, schools information and care for old people.

This is further proof that our Local Authorities and the Establishment are becoming increasingly more concerned with a need to develop better understanding and improved awareness to help in reaching the goal of the illusive “All Inclusive” society.

Which is why we ask all of our local readers to visit the BURTON JOYCE ONLINE Community Web Portal at www.burtonjoyceonline.co.uk for current information on village news and events

Council Expenses

All too often our Administrators use the monies collected from the Tax and Rate payers with little or no major concern - Why is it that Local and Central Government Officers loose all understanding of the meaning of the terms “Responsibility and Accountability” when spending Tax Payers money. Why do I say this? Well to begin with Chief Officers of Local Governments receive salaries and perks indicative of Professional footballers and Rock Stars, yet all too often treat their Rate Payers as Non-Inclusive, undeserving and lacking understanding with the release of statistics as an explanation and justification for events.
