John Harvey - "Far Cry"

John Harvey – ‘Far Cry’

Fans of John Harvey will be pleased to see his latest novel ‘Far Cry’, which is the second in his series featuring DI Will Grayson and his partner DS Helen Walker.

‘Far Cry’ is a story about the thing that any parent dreads – the disappearance of their child. But for Ruth, the mother in this story, history repeats itself and once again she is plunged into a cataclysmic nightmare as her second daughter goes missing. This second disappearance is investigated by Will and Helen each struggling with personal problems, putting the investigation at risk.

Although the DI Grayson novels are not set in Nottingham (unlike the ever-popular Resnick investigations) John Harvey has produced a plot and characters which will be keenly enjoyed. He is a great storyteller whose main characters we come to care about. The tension builds as the story unfolds. This will not disappoint his regular readers!

John Harvey will be appearing at Lowdham Book Festival on Saturday 20th June, 9.00pm where he will celebrate Nottingham’s favourite detective – Resnick – and other topics close to his heart, jazz and his home town, Nottingham. He is also launching a collection of short stories about the ever-popular Resnick –‘Minor Key’

Throughout the month of June, ‘Far Cry’ may be bought from The Bookcase at £13.99 instead of the retail price of £14.99 (Quote Ref: Burton Joyce Online). John Harvey will, no doubt, be happy to sign copies if you come along to see him at the Festival.
