Up date several mature ladies have begun to learn the basics of computers and e mail with exciting results . however it generally appears that the Over 50's male is hesitant - Come you guys prove you can at least equal the result of the ladies :unsure :

Pilates for Over 50's

Pilates is taught in the Methodist Hall on Monday and Thursday evenings, plus Thursday afternoons in Caythorpe. It is suitable for all ages - most of the participants in the Thursday afternoon class are over 50. Why not give it a try - it is beneficial for anyone suffering from back problems, provided they have permission from a GP or specialist. If there is sufficient interest for a daytime class in the village, then I could start one. Let me know.

We are inviting regular contributions from budding amateur reporters and columnists. and you dont have to be Over 50

We intend introducing a broad range of topics associated with the village and its community – serious, amusing and contentious. As part of developing the BurtonJoyceOnline Community

The new “posting” will be under the contributors name or “nom de plume”. We intend that one of our own second year contributions will include the achievements of several of BJ’s lady entrepreneurs - after all we do have more that our fair share in B J eg Tealights, Delights, Dance Studio, Hairdressers , Newspaper Shop, Dentist, Children’s Nursery, Estate Agents, Insurance, Keep-fit, Hair and Beauty, Artist, Physio’s , Music Teachers etc., etc.

I see from minute of the March 2010 meet of the BJPC that Cllr Greenfield suggested that a donation kindly promised by Councty Councillor Clarke for an event especially for BJ Senior Citizens should be used in conjunction with the Grand opening of the refurbished ( note new name !!! )The GROVE PARK and the County Council's May promotion of Robin Hood
