Burton Joyce Parish Council - Annual Meeting
Tuesday May 19th - 7.30pm - Carnarvon Rooms
This is the opportunity for all in the B J community to witness and participate in Local Government at work. EVERYONE of us should make a special effort to attend this significant meetingm and we mean EVERYONE, for attending is just as important as voting. So to everyone, please do attend, you don't have to speak or express an opinion, although you are more than welcome to ask significant questions. This is your Burton Joyce, and they work for you.
Take a look at the results of our online poll, which show that the biggest concerns for residents at the moment are, in order:
- Antisocial behaviour
- Improved awareness of village news and affairsÂ
- Village Centre parking
- Church Road traffic
- Under-age drinking
- Flooding
So whats the Parish Council going to do about all of these, and more? Come along, on Tuesday, 19th May, at 7.30pm in the Carnavon Rooms to find out.

Regretfully and unfortunately for all those in the community with an interest in these affairs. The BJPC policy is NOT to produce the minutes for this Annual meeting until just prior to the next annual meeting in 2010 .
What a strange situation, Why is this the "norm" ? Is this some kind of ploy used by administations nationwide to delay the release of information, in the hope that any " nasties " etc wil be forgotten about and public concern may be diminished and be overtaken by alternative concerns ?
However we have taken the "bull by the horns " and have produced our own minuyes of the meeting and featured then within the Local Administration section in the LH menu
